Dealing with difficult emotions

Because I had had such wonderful support from my community and I really shone with all this care I was having, I didn’t want to be seen to be falling into a heap. But there was still that spectre of fear in the background even though the experience was enormously uplifting. There was still the possibility that it may all unravel and I may just die. I think it was the Cancer Council Helpline I rang… they got the worst of it and the people around me got the best of me.

- Mary, 50, Ovarian Cancer, Eyre Peninsula

Health professionals must follow strict rules  about confidentiality and be especially careful in rural communities.
