About this website

This website has been designed to assist rural South Australians who have been affected by cancer, by giving them practical information on how to cope and who can help.

The content contained on this site has been written by country people for country people. It has been tailored to meet the needs not only of rural cancer patients and survivors, but also those of their families, carers and health professionals.

Receiving and living with a cancer diagnosis can be a very distressing experience- particularly for those who don’t live close to large treatment centres. Although a wide range of support services are available to assist people affected by cancer to cope,  many people don’t know about them early enough, which this website aims to address.
