I don’t think people access support services as much as they probably should. It might be because they’re frightened to, don’t know about them or perhaps it’s because they don’t want to be seen to be not coping. Most people like to think that they can cope with anything and they don’t really want to say, “I need some help here”. But most people that do have help usually find it quite good and they usually go back for more and get more support. Or it just helps them get through a bad patch.
